Not too long ago, after my return from my birthday getaway with the Subang gang to Redang Island during the middle of May last year, I wrote a kinda long entry about the whole trip, detailing our journey to Redang from Subang, what we did there, the sights we saw and the things we did...

(Yes, I'm wearing that Challenge sleeveless! Again! And yes I look so fat a year ago! :P)

Fast forward a couple of months later (Nov 2005), I was emailed by Peter Kua, who chanced upon my blog, saying that he was interested to use my story as one of the materials in his new book about the islands of Malaysia, and of course, I agreed =P

Peter's new book will be about potraying Malaysia's Islands from the perspective of travellers. So essentially I thought the book would be a compendium of personal stories, and that my entry might end up on the editor's floor for failing to match up with the other stories (for quality and content lah... Haha... I'm juz a half-past-six writer :P)

And after returning to the office after having lunch with J, I received an email from Peter, saying that the book has finally been published... And...

I was ONE of the 30 contributors whose story will appear in the book!

OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!

The title of the book is Malaysian Islands: the good, the bad & the finest!

Remembering Flamingo - Colin Pang

Wow! it's really my name there! WOOT! OMG!

Ok, for beginners and the uninitiated like myself, I was kinda puzzled by the title as well. Hmmm. I didn't see any flamingo, pink or white, in Redang, in KT or during any part of the trip.

Ok, ok, I know you guys wanna read the pages 90 - 93 now, so here it is... My story that appeared in the book - Remembering Flamingo.
