i hate being a jedi!
well, i promised i'd do exerpts from my 'sithspotting' script. so here we are. that's the content of today's post. anyway, a couple of notes. capital letters in the exerpt don't count towards the capital count, and of course it's all copyright © 2002 phillip alexander carnall. star wars and stuff is copyright © 2002 lucasfilm, ltd. trainspotting is copyright © 2002 whoever holds the irvine welsh copyrights.
today's exerpt comes from about half-way through the script, after eric, the protagonist, has decided that he must quit his star wars habit:
EXT. SIDEWALK. DAY
Eric, in a coat, kicks at some garbage on the sidewalk before going inside the building he is standing in front of.
INT. ROOM. DAY
There are various people milling about the room, drinking coffee, eating cookies, etc. Wooden chairs sit around a table in the middle of the room. Eric stands at the door, looking around aprehensively, until one person, ALEX, waves at him.

Eric! Man! You're here! I thought you wouldn't come, being a Star Wars fan and all...
Eric
Well, *smiles* I'm trying to break that habit man... it's hard, but I know I can do it with your help.
DUNGEONMASTER
Well, guys! Lets build our characters!
The Dungeonmaster gets out the dice and D&D rulebooks and sets them on the table. The other PLAYERS gather around and take seats and start rolling up their characters.
Eric (voice-over)
Well, okay, it wasn't the brightest thing in the world to do. In fact, it made the cravings for lightsaber battles even more strong.
(scene change)
