booga booga

so i got my marks back a week ago-ish. just thought to post that now.

my guess was right - i scored 81%.

no section of the exam stood out as being something that i particularly need to work on - wrong answers were spread out all over the various sections.

the part i did the best on, oddly enough, was the section i felt i did the worst on while i was writing the test - sauces.

anyway, thanks for the love.

paddy, i'll try to remember to call you sometime this week.

exam day

well, i just finished my block two exam.

i know i passed - there were at least seventy questions i was 100% sure on.

i have a feeling i scored around 80. so i'm feeling pretty good... except for the gut rot from that last cup of coffee, but yeah.

anyway, just a note.

head home tomorrow.

sweet sweet internet in my bedroom once again.

finally learned how to make hollandaise (don't tell peter!)

burre blanc works better with cream reduced au sec. don't let them tell you different! (helps with the emulsion of butter and acid)

snow day

so, i'm in moncton, doing block two.

i brought my bike this time, since weather has been really mild, and i didn't see the point in walking an hour each way when i could bike.


so the night i get here, it snows, like, two feet.

go figgure.

ah well, it was clean enough to bike to school today.

except that... i forgot my gloves in fredericton. so my hands froze.

ah well.

hmmm... not much else to say.

block two's exam is 35% baking questions... so i'd best get that under control, since pass-mark is 70%.
