Finally!!!!
I have a new bloglet! That's another word for a blog outlet...hehe. Until such time when I figure out what I want to do here, I'll be regularly updating there.
All are welcome!

Benchwarmer
I was googling for a website that featured Bench's line of lingerie for a friend and stumbled upon one that featured a prayer bench. Don't ask me how....it just did. So, curious 'ole me clicks on the link and what do you know.....
A prayer bench with a twist! Some may be thinking, "What a wonderful contraption! It actually allows two persons to pray at the same time, face to face!"
Think again. Think outside the box. Think inside your deepest, most wildest, thoughts. Is this what you may have come up with?
I certainly didn't.
If only it weren't too expensive.

Maybe, may 'C', may 'D'....
Let's see....how do I break the news....?
I've uh....kinda....well, sort of moved. I'm not quite sure how it's all going to work out and what's going to happen with this but I've now got blogger power -- whatever that means.
What will become of this move remains a mystery.

Love (and the Flu Bug) is in the Air
Three nights ago, while in KL and in relatively deep sleep already, I received an SMS from a friend that read, "I'm engaged to Phil officially. Yeeeey!" Because of the unholy hour it was sent, I suppose the message didn't quite sink in until the next morning. I had meant to text back the following morning but together with work and the flu virus that was progressively spreading throughout my body, it had slipped my mind.
Now, in a better state of health and mind, I'd like to extend my congratulations to Phil and Nona.

Who would've thought??!!
Naturally, the first time Nona introduced me to Phil, I was a tad apprehensive about their relationship. How could I not be? Half the time I couldn't quite get what he was saying in his thick Kiwi accent. How Nona has gotten over this, I need not know. Over time however, this feeling of apprehension has dissipated and replaced with one of gladness. They still seem like worlds apart to me, but amazingly, they think alike.
I wish them the happiness they both seek and the joy they both deserve.
Ka nui ngaa mihi!!

Of Buttons and Bottoms
Even the littlest convenience is a luxury here at the hotel.
There's the sleek bedside panel that controls the room lights (complete with dimmer), automatic blinds (for both day and night blinds), and airconditioning (with temperature and fan speed control). I've sort of worked out a routine for the past couple of nights. Just before settling into bed, I'd (1)make sure the temperature's set to a comfortable 20 degrees celsius or so, (2) turn the master switch for all the lights off, and (3)raise both blinds (both day and night) for a dramatic sleeping-in-the-sky effect. With the full length windows from wall to wall, it really does feel like it! Strangely, the street and building lights in full view don't bother me (because I usually find it difficult to find sleep when there are lights on -- even dimly lit). Nor the headlamps of cars that ply the wide boulevards below. In the morning, I'd just have the day blinds down and go about my morning business of preparing for another work day. This is an absolute must considering that the glass panels are in no way tinted. I found this out when, from outside the hotel buidling, I looked up. The glass is as clear as, well, glass! Perfect for a hardcore exhibitionist, I think.
Aside from the master switch, there's another panel that controls the vanity counter area, toilet and bathroom -- all of which are separate areas. A trend that's fast catching up in many other hotels. So one can actually be in the toilet, someone else is in the shower/bathtub, and yet another brushing his/her teeth all at the same time. A huge timesaver if travelling in a group of three. With each task assigned, they can then "rotate" among themselves. The panel also controls another set of day and night blinds, but termed as a glasswall curtain and a window curtain. Yes people, even the toilet has a full length glass panel. Tastefully kinky. I've left both permanently down lest I cause curious onlookers and drivers to lose their appetite, or worse, whatever it is they had for breakfast/lunch/dinner. But fret not. Even without a window to look out to while having a shower/bath, the hotel has conveniently installed a little plasma TV in -- yes, IN -- the wall right next to the shower head and above the bathtub. In the midst of scrubbing the dead skin cells off my shoulder, I learnt of the Vatican's choice of a new pope.
Nothing is spared in the hotel room. Every crack and crevice is covered - especially in the toilet. I have a personal phobia with bidets (that's too embarrasing to tell) and ignore them, that is, I don't turn them on or whatever it is you do to use it. With the toilet here, the water pressure and position(s) are literally in your full control. And for the ultimate experience, there's also a dryer (the temperature of which is also adjustable). I have no idea what pressing the "Oscillating" button will do, nor what the "Wand Cleaning" will trigger off but ladies, I can tell you that the "Rear Cleansing" and the "Front Cleansing", if done concurrently and continuously several times, may cause an orgasmic sensation. Oh, and you can even set the temperature of the toilet seat. My fanny's been having a fine time, I tell you.

Room-ers
I admit, I enjoy jumping from bed to bed. And no, not that sort of bed-to-bed jumping!! It's not always been a bed of roses (hehe....pun-ny me) but I've been pretty lucky. I'm not particularly picky about the size of the bed, but more often than not, the hotels I stay in always assign a king-sized bed. Or a queen. But hardly twins, unless I ask. The more important aspect of a bed, for me, are the sheets and pillows. Luxurious 200 thread count crisp white sheets, fluffy comforters and divine duvets are enough to put me into restful slumber. Throw in feather pillows (the more the merrier) and I could stay in bed forever. All this spoils me, yes, but nothing beats being in my own bed with my own giant pillow, aka Eder.
Having decent space to move around, eat, or work in the room always works. Especially if it's too cold out. The better hotel rooms would have to be the ones with a television on a television stand that allows you to swivel it around to face you wherever you decide to plonk yourself. And flat plasma screens work too. If only I had my XBox with me.
There are a few more pretty surprises in this room that I'll catch on film later. The bed temptingly beckons, "come.....lay your weary body down....dream your dreams with me....Leah....Leah....leeeee....yaaaahh..."
Oh, did I mention my room has a killer view of the city?

It sure does.

Good to Go
So ya, before I fly off (again) tomorrow, just thought I'd post a quickie. Although I'd rather be in one.
Updated na the link to Tin's new site. Do drop in and see her labor of love. Sipag mo talaga, Tin! If only I had the same passion, if you'd call it that.
Jay!! Alis ulet ako for a week. 'Kaw naman bahala kay Eder, ha! Hehe....as if bata pa siya, noh!
And lest you think I've forgotten, I'm praying for you, Jet, with your review thingy and all. I'm pretty sure you'll pass with flying rainbow bright colors!!
Oh, and yes, I've cleared my work-related backlog, vacuumed the carpets, cleared most of the laundry, and scrubbed the toilet (eeeyucks!). I'm still waiting for my SingPass before I can file my income tax.
I think I did well, overall.
Ready or not Seoul, here I come.

Down and Almost Out
The past couple of days have been extremely trying, it's so not funny.
With a house filled with a family of five, loads of laundry (and other pending house chores), piles of work-related backlog, and a difficult two-day meeting with a bunch of baboons, the past few days have sucked the life out of me. Oh, and to rub salt to the wound, Trixie died on me yesterday. Stupid me left the lights on inside the car for a good 8 hours.
But things are beginning to look up -- hopefully.
The deadline for e-filing my income tax has been extended till the end of April. I have to wait for some SingPass thingy before anything can get done.
Family of five left earlier today. Not that I'm glad. Well, I am a little. Only because there were too many things happening at the same time and juggling myself around was a struggle.
The house, although not in major disarray, is screaming for attention. The carpets needs to be thoroughly vacuumed, the cabinets dusted, the toilets scrubbed (eeeyucks!). Then there's the laundry and pressing (double eeeeyucks!). Why we don't employ a part-time helper is beyond me. No, actually it isn't. It's beyond Eder.
Backlog from work has been piling up since two weeks ago (due to all the skipping around the region) but I foresee this being reduced to a lesser pile by the end of the week. Barring any unusual surprises, of course.
And that 2-day meeting with the bunch of baboons? So glad it's over and done with. To protect the identity of these useless innocent, I'll leave it at that.
As for Trixie, well, that was my silly fault.
