We went to Lowes yesterday and ordered our new countertops.  I can't wait until they come in!  I already took the "before" picture since we replaced all the hinges and handles on the cabinets to match the new countertops.  That alone makes the kitchen look new, I can't wait to see it completed!  We are keeping all our old cabinets, we just scrubbed them down with "Liquid Gold".  I need to paint the kitchen in the spring and James wants to get a hardwood floor put in.  The floor is going to have to wait until probably next year though.  Remodeling is EXPENSIVE! 

The kids and I have to take Chloe to the groomer later to get her nails clipped.  The crazy dog just will not let me clip them.  She really is a nut!

I haven't wrapped any of the kids' presents yet.  The plan is to finally get it done tonight, we'll see how that goes.

Our trash day is Thursday.  Since the kids were off school three days last week, I wasn't surprised when our trash wasn't picked up.  On the other hand, I thought it would be picked up by now.  I finally called this morning to make sure I paid my bill and good thing I did.  With the weather last week, somehow they completely missed our house!  She was very nice and apologetic and I was understanding.  Our trash should be picked up no later then noon tomorrow.  Just in time to fill the can with Christmas boxes! 

Angie got pissed at me last night.  I'm trying to get her off the bottle (she was supposed to be completely off it at 12 months, LAST month) and she's not really feeling it.  I'll admit, part of me isn't pushing her too hard because I know she's going to be my last baby.  She also isn't walking yet.  What a little lazy thing!  She is HILARIOUS though.  She growls.  She points at things and gabbers and then laughs at whatever she said.  It cracks me up.

There really isn't anything new going on around here.  I wanted to go to PA for Christmas but James doesn't get block leave until January so that's out.

I'm way past being done Christmas shopping.  I've ventured into "impulse buying" now.  For example, I got Chris two GameBoy Advance games on ebay yesterday.  Brand new!  Dirt cheap!  I swear, I'M DONE!

We went shopping yesterday.  Not for anything in particular, we just decided we wanted to go to Gander Mountain.  What a mistake!  People are rude and make me hate the commercial part of the holidays even more then usual.  We also went into TJ Maxx and this woman kept leaving her baby in the cart in the main aisle while she'd walk down another one shopping.  I told James on the way out, "Did you see that baby that was alone?  The stupid woman even had her in her infant carseat so someone could just strap her in their car and go when they snatched her."  I seriously can't believe how stupid people are. 

No new news on whether or not we are moving next year.  I'm holding out hope we are staying put.  Mainly because I've been eyeing up new countertops again but refuse to put that kind of money into a house we won't be living in!  We do know a few people that could do them dirt cheap, so that's always an option no matter if we end up having to sell or not.  Ok, the countertops aren't the real reason I want to stay.  This is OUR house and I'm just not ready to give it up.  I'll be ready in 6 years when James retires and we can move in with my parents, I mean back to PA.  You would think after all these years I'd be used to not seeing them often but that just isn't the case.  I miss them more and more all the time!  So do the kids, they are already asking when we'll see Mommom and Pappy again.  They were just here two weeks ago!  I can't wait until the day that we can actually see them every day if we want.  For now, we'll just have to look forward to next summer's visit. 

Ok, enough of that, I'll get all sad and depressed.  See, I told you there wasn't anything new going on!

I've been trying to do more pictures using manual settings instead of automatic.  One of these days I'll get the hang of it and produce some awesome pictures.

I wish I had a little more space included with this site to store pictures.  I just had to go through and delete some older ones to make room for the upcoming holiday photos.

I just found out tonight, I'm a "Household6" in military lingo.  I read it here.  I've only been a Household6 for 12 years, I guess it's never too late to learn something new!

Brrr, it's cold here!  I don't remember it being this cold (22 degrees right now) this time last year.  Hopefully we'll get some decent snow this year.  You couldn't even build a snowman out of the little bit we got last year.

We put our tree up this week.  I probably should have waited longer.  It's only decorated from the middle, up.  Yes, you guessed it...Angie won't leave anything alone that's in her reach! 

The Christmas DVDs are done and will (fingers crossed) go out in the mail on Monday.  There are two videos on it.  Angie only recommends the first one, that has pictures of her in it.  I kid you not, she dances to that one and laughs at herself.  She wants nothing to do with the second video.  That one is all deployment pictures and I guess little "Miss Thing" doesn't like the fact she's not in it! 

Chris started his Academic Team practices this week.  So far, so good.  When we picked him up after school, I wanted to laugh at him.  Chris kept leaving all his coats in school so we told him that he had to bring them all home that day.  He came out with one in his bookbag, one hanging off his bookbag, and two in his hands. 

James got two boxes in the mail today that he sent over from Afghanistan.  Josh found a disposable razor and got the brainy idea to try shaving.  He cut his lip.  It's not funny, but the band-aid he put on it was!  I missed a great photo-op there!
