Be Nourished
There is a website I read about and I checked it out yesterday. Very interesting articles and information. I read some things about ADD that were interesting.
Check it out here:

healthy living
My husband and I are both eating healthier and exercising. I am doing pilates, he is doing situps and pushups. We both do a lot of walking in our jobs, so we are not embarking on any type of walking or running routine as of yet.
We are eating more fruits and vegetables. Still eating cooked foods, and we probably always will--I just cannot see the whole family going completely raw. A good friend did tell me about a website where a couple are tracking their progress from eating raw foods.

At any rate, we are shaping up and losing weight! ~:-D
Have a wonderful Thursday!

Baba Marta
I am happy to have learned something new today! A friend of mine at work gave me a martenitza to wear. It is to celebrate martenitsa. I hope I am spelling these terms right.
I found a website that tells a bit more about martenitsa. It is very interesting. I plan to tell the children about it tonight!

My BrewStation!
It seems like forever I have wanted a coffee maker that has the coffee ready when I get up in the mornings. Dear hubby did not think it was a good idea. Well, I was happy when he said, "buy whatever kind you want this time." Our old coffee carafe would leak when you tried to pour the coffee into the mugs. The coffee just did not taste very good anymore. It was time to go shopping for a coffee maker!!
I bought a Hamilton Beach BrewStation after seeing one at my aunt's house! I love it. It makes wonderful-tasting coffee and is so easy to use! So far it has been a dream. We have had it probably two months now. You can see that there is no carafe, but you just press your cup against the silver dispenser button and your cup is filled with hot coffee!
Hamilton Beach BrewStation

We ordered the black one because I think white appliances just show too much staining when it comes to a coffee maker!
Yes, I love my morning coffee, and I am looking forward to drinking it in my gardens in the mornings! Won't be long until it's comfortable enough outside to do so!!
My next "luxury" purchase is going to be a mosquito catcher for the yard! I think! Or maybe it will be the chair I want from Jackson & Perkins. =)

Your Homeschooling Fashion Vote!
I have put a poll up on my forums under the Style and Fashion forum! How do YOU dress to homeschool???
Does your dress make a difference in how you feel each day and what you get done? Many organizing/scheduling "experts" say it does make a difference. If you get up and get dressed as if it is an important day that you must be ready for from head to toe, you'll get more done!
What do you think? Visit The Healthy Homeschool forums to become part of our homeschool community and take part in our fashion poll!

My homeschool philosophy:
I am very Charlotte Mason, in a classical sort of way. Does that make no sense? A lot of sense? Great! I think so, too! We love Five In A Row, but I see the benefits of Latin. We do Latin in snatches. I am a medical transcriptionist, I love words, I love foreign language (dabs of all of them), and I want my children to have those same loves. The key is lighting the fire in them that will be the passion for mastering something! No matter how "full" I get them of facts, they will never pursue anything with a passion unless it comes from within!
